Duties:
Provide support for existing products to manufacturing, field applications, monitors product performance data from Reliability engineering to fine tune existing products. Acts in a project team leadership role to develop new products. Products? include AC induction motors, power cable, and motor lead cables. Individual will have other engineers to assist in the support/development role but will provide the overall technical direction for the work. Work breakdown is approximately 2/3 support work, 1/3 new development work. Position reports to the department Manager for the Power Systems Engineering Group.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum) 5 or more years industry design experience in the field of electrical rotating machinery Project management experience Ability to understand and implement ANSI drawing standards Good communication skills Competent with MS-Office software (Word and Excel) or a similar package Experience with Solid Modeling CAD and FEA is a plus Travel (domestic/international) nominally up to 15% to field locations to perform support functions.
Design of laminations experience highly desirable.
